About Bubble Number Pop

Bubble Number Pop is a gentle, screen-friendly arcade game built for our youngest learners. Numbered bubbles drift slowly across a calm gradient sky and the child taps them in counting order, from one upwards, to clear each level. The slow drift speed, large tap targets, and forgiving timing mean toddlers as young as two can play comfortably on a tablet held by a parent. As children progress, the difficulty climbs only by widening the number range — the pace stays relaxed throughout. The game is built around three principles drawn from early-years pedagogy: subitising, one-to-one correspondence, and verbal counting in sequence. Each correct pop produces a soft chime; mistakes are silent and never punitive. The game runs in any modern browser, requires no sign-up, and does not show advertising to children. Parents and teachers can use it on shared devices without privacy concerns. The game pairs well with our Counting to 10 worksheet for offline reinforcement of the same skills.

A hand for grown-ups

Before you start
Have a few small objects to hand — buttons, blocks, raisins. Counting real things makes the numbers mean something.
While they work
Let them touch each thing as they count it. Pointing and counting together is how the one-number-per-object idea sticks.
Afterwards
Count something together afterwards — the stairs on the way up, the forks at dinner. It shows counting is useful, not just a worksheet.
Watch out for
Counting too fast and skipping objects, or counting one twice. Slow, one-touch-per-object counting fixes this on its own.
Away from the screen
Count everything: steps to the door, peas on the plate, red cars on a walk. No equipment needed.

How to play

  1. A question appears on screen

A maths question is shown in large text at the centre of the play area. A timer bar begins counting down from 60 seconds.

  2. Choose the correct answer

Answer options are shown as large buttons. Tap or click the correct option. Any input method works — touch, mouse or keyboard.

  3. Build your streak

Each consecutive correct answer increases your streak. A longer streak lights up the flame icon and adds a bonus multiplier to the XP you earn for the level.

  4. Finish the level

Each level has 8 questions. Complete them to earn the full level reward (+10 XP, plus up to +10 XP for a perfect run). Progress is saved locally and shown on the Parent Dashboard.
