About Frog Lily Hop

Frog Lily Hop is a gentle pond adventure where a friendly frog hops across floating lily pads on calm water. Children tap the numbered lily pads in order to help the frog hop, building number recognition and sequencing. Everything is sized for small fingers on a tablet, with large tap targets, slow gentle pacing, and forgiving feedback so a two to four year old can play comfortably beside a parent. Correct actions bring a soft sound and a cheerful particle burst, while mistakes are never punished and the child can simply try again. The game follows early-years principles of learning through play, building confidence with short, low-pressure sessions rather than long drills. It runs in any modern browser with no app to install and no sign-up, and it shows no advertising to children anywhere. Progress is saved only on the device, so families and classrooms can share a tablet without any privacy concern, which keeps the experience COPPA-safe by design. It pairs nicely with our printable Tiny Explorers worksheets for screen-free practice of the very same skills away from the tablet.

A hand for grown-ups

Before you start
Have a few small objects to hand — buttons, blocks, raisins. Counting real things makes the numbers mean something.
While they work
Let them touch each thing as they count it. Pointing and counting together is how the one-number-per-object idea sticks.
Afterwards
Count something together afterwards — the stairs on the way up, the forks at dinner. It shows counting is useful, not just a worksheet.
Watch out for
Counting too fast and skipping objects, or counting one twice. Slow, one-touch-per-object counting fixes this on its own.
Away from the screen
Count everything: steps to the door, peas on the plate, red cars on a walk. No equipment needed.

How to play

  1. A question appears on screen

A maths question is shown in large text at the centre of the play area. A timer bar begins counting down from 60 seconds.

  2. Choose the correct answer

Answer options are shown as large buttons. Tap or click the correct option. Any input method works — touch, mouse or keyboard.

  3. Build your streak

Each consecutive correct answer increases your streak. A longer streak lights up the flame icon and adds a bonus multiplier to the XP you earn for the level.

  4. Finish the level

Each level has 5 questions. Complete them to earn the full level reward (+10 XP, plus up to +10 XP for a perfect run). Progress is saved locally and shown on the Parent Dashboard.
