All Little Learners gamesShare cake slices equally among plates to meet early division and fractions for ages 5 to 7.
Every activity is one step. Here is where this one fits.
Birthday Cake Sim is a playful party workshop where children share cake slices equally among plates — a gentle, hands-on introduction to division and early fractions. The game sets a scenario, such as twelve slices and three plates, and the child adds slices to each plate until every plate has a fair, equal share and the slice pool is empty. Adding and removing slices is fully interactive, the running totals update live, and a plate turns green when it reaches its fair share, so children discover the idea of equal groups by doing rather than by being told. Scenarios grow with each level, moving from small shares to larger ones, always keeping the maths concrete and visual. Sharing equally is the foundation of division and of understanding fractions as equal parts of a whole, and exploring it through play builds intuition that later formal work can rest on. The game runs in any modern browser, needs no sign-up, and shows no advertising to children. Progress is saved only on the device and appears in the Parent Dashboard. It pairs well with our sharing and grouping worksheets for offline practice.
Chosen by the skills this activity practises.
A maths question is shown in large text at the centre of the play area. A timer bar begins counting down from 60 seconds.
Answer options are shown as large buttons. Tap or click the correct option. Any input method works — touch, mouse or keyboard.
Each consecutive correct answer increases your streak. A longer streak lights up the flame icon and adds a bonus multiplier to the XP you earn for the level.
Each level has 4 questions. Complete them to earn the full level reward (+10 XP, plus up to +10 XP for a perfect run). Progress is saved locally and shown on the Parent Dashboard.
Mapped to national curriculum frameworks so teachers and parents can match practice to school standards.
